Privacy
Privacy policy.
Plain and complete — what we collect, why, and the rights you have over it.
Who we are
This website is operated by SAM DIGITAL MARKETING LTD (Company number 17249391, registered in England and Wales), trading as SAM Digital Marketing. We are the data controller responsible for your personal data.
Registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ.
For anything in this policy, contact sam@sammarketing.uk.
The data we collect
- Analytics data. If you consent, Google Analytics 4 (GA4) collects anonymised usage data — pages viewed, approximate location (from your IP, which GA4 does not store in full), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site.
- Contact you initiate. When you message us on WhatsApp, email us, or call, we receive the details you choose to share — your name, contact details and whatever you tell us about your enquiry.
- Basic server logs. Our hosting keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and request time) to keep the site secure and running. These are held only briefly.
We do not ask for or store payment details on this site, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Cookies & analytics
The site loads no analytics or advertising cookies until you agree. GA4 and Google Ads conversion tracking run only after you consent to analytics cookies; if you decline, those scripts are not loaded. Your browser also allows you to block or delete cookies at any time.
How we use your data
- To reply to your enquiry and provide a quote.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it.
- To measure which ads and pages lead to enquiries.
- To keep the site secure and working.
Legal basis
Under UK GDPR we rely on: consent for analytics and advertising cookies (you can withdraw it at any time); legitimate interests for responding to enquiries you send us and for keeping the site secure; and legal obligation where we must keep certain records.
Sharing your data
We do not sell your data, ever. We share it only with the service providers that make the site work — for example Google (analytics and ads) and our hosting provider — and only as needed to deliver those services. Where data leaves the UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards. We may also disclose data if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is kept only as long as needed to help you and to meet our record-keeping obligations. Analytics data is retained according to our GA4 settings. Server logs are short-lived.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify data that is wrong or incomplete.
- Erase your data (the right to deletion).
- Object to or restrict how we use it.
- Withdraw consent for analytics at any time.
- Data portability — receive your data in a portable format.
How to make a request
Email sam@sammarketing.uk and we will respond within one month. If you believe we have mishandled your data, you can also complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
